NFL Week 11 Predictions and NFL MVP Rankings

NFL Week 11 Predictions and NFL MVP Rankings

What a weekend of upsets! It started on Saturday with 4/5 of the top 6-10 teams losing in college football and then just after midnight Ronda Rousey got knocked out and lost her champion status to Holly Holm. The upsets continued on into the NFL on Sunday. The last place Lions beat the Packers in Green Bay, which hadn't happened for 25 years. The Broncos got destroyed by the Chiefs in Denver thanks to Peyton Manning's 4 interception day that resulted in a benching. #WATTBA

I couldn't have been more happy about the outcome of the AZ-SEA game. I think everybody finally saw the truth in what kind of team Seattle is. I think ESPN will finally pull their heads out of their butts and not rank them a top 10 team in their power rankings again. The Seahawks reality just hit them; they won't make the playoffs this year. As for the team that beat them, the Cardinals might be the most dangerous team in the NFC. Although Carolina is undefeated, I would take the Cardinals over them. The playoffs might have to go through Carolina, but as we saw last night, AZ can win on the road in a hostile environment.

The Lions beating the Packers in Green Bay, might have been one of the biggest upsets in Packer history. I don't know what's wrong with Rodgers and Green Bay, but they have dropped from NFC Champions favorite to wild card contender in 3 weeks. The Vikings are now in first place in the NFC North division and the two teams play each other on Sunday in Minneapolis. This game I believe will determine the winner of the NFC North. Luckily for the Packers, they have a winnable schedule remaining.  They should go 4-3 at worst and 7-0 at best. They have 3 true tests before the playoffs. 2 games against the smoking hot Vikings and a road game in AZ against if not best team in the NFC. With the Packers playing how they have been as of late, no game is a guaranteed win anymore for them. I hope the Vikings beat them for the division championship, but we can never count out Rodgers to come up with some magic.

The Vikings went 5-0 over the stretch that many thought they needed to go 4-1 or better in order to make a playoff run. Now they face a declining Green Bay team at home. This game couldn't have come at a better time for the Vikings. In all honesty, even with the past of the Packers-Vikings games, I think Minnesota will be favored to win this game. Adrian is playing like his MVP form and the defense is playing great. The Vikings aren't a team that blow teams out with a high powered passing game, they win games by constantly grinding the opponents defense by running the ball down their throat, tiring the defense out. Sunday's game was a perfect example of that when Adrian broke out a 80 yard TD to seal the game, late in the 4th quarter.

My predictions went horribly wrong last week, currently 5-8 pending tonight's game, but I did get all of my top games correct, so I regained a little pride and dignity. Tonight's Monday Night Football game should be a cake walk for the Bengals, but who knows after this weekend of upsets.
