NFL Week 12 Predictions

NFL Week 12 Predictions

After a horrid week 10, I bounced back this week and finished 9-5. We get 3 games on the plate for Thanksgiving this year. All 3 have some meaning to them, are not the most marquee match-ups in my opinion. Even though Dallas is not going to the playoffs I think they are going to beat and end Carolina's undefeated status. That might sound crazy to some of you but, I firmly believe the Cowboys would have been a top 4 team if Romo wouldn't have got injured. But Carolina is still better your thinking. I would agree to a point, but I think the Cowboys are a threat to their perfect season. They have a better offense with Romo and Bryant, and their defense is alright, ranking in the top 15 of every passing, rushing, and scoring defense. With a team inspired by the return of Tony Romo, I think Dallas can compete with anybody in the NFL. Dallas wins 26-20.

The other two turkey games are pretty unexciting, but worth something. The Eagles have their playoff hopes on the line along with Chip Kelly's job security. The Packers will be playing to stay in the run for home-field advantage come playoff time. I'll take the Packers over the Bears 30-17 and the Eagles over the Lions by TD 30-23.

Minnesota Vikings vs Atlanta Falcons is a big game for both teams. Both are coming off bad losses against playoff bound teams. Both teams need to not let a loss snowball into 2 or 3 losses in a row. Unfortunately, one will have to. Although the game is in Atlanta, the Vikings are the better team and should win. Zimmer has the Vikings 2-0 after a loss, while Atlanta is on 3 game losing streak. Now, the Packers were on a 3 game losing streak when they beat the Vikings handily in Minnesota last week. Even if Julio Jones has a big game, I think AP will have a big bounce back game after only putting up 45 yards last week even if Atlanta is the #1 rush defense. Vikings by a FG 27-24.

I probably shouldn't leave out one of the biggest games of the season between the Patriots and Broncos. The game has lost significant excitement due to Peyton Manning being injured/benched/washed-up whatever you want to call it. Brady on the other hand is on a MVP blaze and has his team perfect. Even if the Patriots lose, which I doubt, the Pats will still hold the #1 seed for the playoffs. Obviously if the records were tied then the Broncos would have the advantage. I don't think Tom Brady and the perfect Patriots are going to lose to a back-up quarterback regardless if the game is played in Denver. I'll take Tom and the Pats over the Broncos by six, 30-24.
