NFL Week 3 Predictions
Thursday night we start Week 3 off with the bottom feeders of the NFC East, a match-up between the NY Giants and Washington Redskins. To the Redskins credit, they did beat the St. Louis Rams last week, so they may have some momentum coming into tonight's game. Meanwhile the Giants are being the Giants and blowing double digit leads in consecutive games. LOL. What is even more funny, is that I'm choosing the Giants to win this game. Jokes on me, if they lose.
My Top Week 3 Games
1. Kansas City Chiefs at Green Bay Packers
To me, this is easily the best game of the week. Too bad we have to wait until Monday Night Football for this showdown. The Chiefs need to rebound after that awful collapse in KC last Thursday against the Broncos. The Packers didn't look great against Seattle, but found a way to win and that's all that matters. The Packers are at home again, so I will take the Packers 31-23 over the Chiefs.
2. Cincinnati Bengals at Baltimore Ravens
The Bengals are looking like the best team in the AFC North right now and they are. 2-0 with quality wins, over the Raiders and Chargers. They look as if they might make the playoffs again and finally get past the first round. I wouldn't speak too soon. They have a long season ahead of them and a battle this week in Baltimore. I think this is the week Baltimore gets it together and finishes a game. I'll take the Ravens over the Bengals 23-20.
3. San Diego Chargers at Minnesota Vikings
This is going be a true test for the Vikings defense. The Chargers are what I think, a better version of the Lions. They have a powerful offense that can score and rack up yards. If the Vikings play like they did last week against Detroit, I think they will do just fine. I expect them to do even better than last week, but we will have to see how they come out. Vikings beat the Chargers 31-27.
A few games that are toss ups and have earned some recognition from me are:
Falcons at Cowboys because of the Romo injury I can't say the Cowboys will for sure win this game. Also the Falcons have been playing well and are 2-0.
Colts at Titans: Hopefully Luck and the Colts get win this one or else they are doomed.
Raiders at Browns: Both teams are coming off solid wins, so I expect this one to be a good battle between upcoming, but not playoff bound teams,
Eagles at Jets: Sadly, I think the Eagles are going to fall to 0-3 after this game. NY looks good on defense and the Eagles are a mess.
Steelers at Rams could be a really good game due to the high powered offense of Pittsburgh against the hard nosed defense of St. Louis. Plus the Rams are very tough to beat in St. Louis. I'll still take the Steelers.
